Before you move a website

Collect a current backup of your website files, database, domain DNS zone and email configuration. Keep access to the old hosting account until the new copy works. If possible, reduce DNS TTL in advance and arrange a period when both copies remain available.

We can help move websites from cPanel and other common hosting platforms. For email migration or custom applications, talk to support before making the switch.

A safe migration sequence

  1. Inventory: List websites, databases, mailboxes, cron jobs, SSL certificates and subdomains.
  2. Copy: Transfer the site into the new hosting account or ask support about assisted migration.
  3. Test: Verify pages, forms, links and checkout before changing live DNS.
  4. Switch DNS: Point the domain to the correct destination using the records given for your new account.
  5. Monitor: Watch errors and incoming mail as DNS caches update.
  6. Close old hosting only after verification: Keep a rollback option until critical functions work.

When to seek extra assistance

A busy shop, custom Laravel site, high-traffic application or mailbox with years of business data can need a specialist plan. Make sure there is a clear rollback process and a backup independent of either host.
