1. Register your domain

Choose and register a name that represents your business, such as brightworks.com.ng. You can create email addresses on the domain even if the website is still under construction.

2. Confirm email hosting is included

Check whether your hosting plan allows email accounts and the total mailbox space, sending limitations and number of users. Estha plans include cPanel email, with mailbox limits set by your chosen package.

3. Create a mailbox

In a cPanel configuration that offers the Email Accounts feature, select your domain, choose a mailbox name such as hello or accounts, and set a unique strong password. Save the generated connection details without sharing passwords through chat.

4. Configure DNS properly

If your mail service provides MX, SPF, DKIM or DMARC values, enter exactly those records wherever the domain's authoritative DNS is managed. Website A records and email MX records are separate. A wrong MX entry can stop incoming mail.

5. Use webmail or a device

If the plan includes webmail, use the webmail address documented by your provider. To use a phone or desktop client, enter the account-specific IMAP/SMTP settings, ports and encryption modes shown in the control panel.

6. Test both directions

Send from your new mailbox to another provider, reply to it, and check whether the messages arrive in the inbox. Fix DNS or authentication problems before relying on the address for invoices or important customer enquiries.
